Well, Bonkers said it was time for me to update...so here's to you.

I have lost my identity and taken on a new one.  Since I have been working at the schools where I will student teach, I have become known as "Miss Guillory".  I must remember not to call myself Melissa.  And with that new identity, I must be the relaxed and in charge lady that I'm supposed to be.  Scary.

Things that have been reaffirmed to me this week:

*Guys are weird and pretty much ridiculous.  At least most are...what's the deal?

*God is soooo good.  He is Sovereign in even the smallest details of our lives.  Why do I worry so much?

"Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad." Proverbs 12:25  This is my anthem for the rest of this semester :)

I can't wait to go see that guy's house in Parkville!!!  Steve, you know what I'm talking about?

The Cutest Violinists Ever

This was after a violin recital last Sunday.   My students are so cute and I'm very proud of them...my darling divas!

Excerpts from my summer

So I thought I'd put a few of my favorite summer moments on my site as a reminder of what will soon be a faded memory while sitting in a desk at WJC.

This was taken on a random day at a random location in Kansas.

This is me having too much fun in Lousiana.  Jordan thinks I'm crazy!

Dancing outside restaurants is outrageously fun! :)

You never know what kind of fun and excitement you can find at Zona Rosa.

Here we are at Penguin Park for Steve's Sponge Bob/ Baseball Birthday Blowout.  I'd say how old he turned but he'd kill me...let's just say ancient to play it safe.

Never take things for granted

This morning I am reminded of the wonderful blessings we take for granted...in particular air conditioners on a hot summer day.  Ours isn't working.  So while I'm sweating I'm going to praise God for the things I forget to thank Him for.
